Africa Screams

⁣Africa Screams (1949) is a classic adventure comedy starring the legendary comedy duo Bud Abbott and Lou Costello.

When mild-mannered book clerk Stanley Livington is mistaken for an expert on Africa, he and his fast-talking friend Buzz Johnson become involved in an expedition searching for a legendary treasure. Their journey takes them deep into the African wilderness, where they encounter wild animals, dangerous situations, eccentric explorers, and plenty of misunderstandings.

Unknown to Stanley and Buzz, however, members of the expedition have their own plans for the treasure, leading to a series of schemes, close calls, and hilarious complications.

Featuring Abbott and Costello's trademark rapid-fire comedy and slapstick humor, Africa Screams also features appearances by famous comedy and entertainment personalities including Shemp Howard, Joe Besser, and heavyweight boxing champion Max Baer. It's a lighthearted jungle spoof from the golden age of Hollywood comedy.
